Training and Rides

The club embraces new riders who enjoy cycling, want to get fit and become more involved in the sport . Through it’s Group Riding Programme, new riders are introduced to the quickest, easiest and safest way of learning about cycling.  The companionship of riding in a group makes the miles disappear so much easier and the ride more enjoyable. Cycling with agroup also helps individuals to learn biking skills and how to ride positively and safely. New riders can benefit from the diverse riding styles and social interaction of some of the club’s most experienced riders.

Additionally, new riders will be encouraged to participate in a wide variety of rides, cut through the jungle of conflicting on advice on bikes and equipment, learn more about basic maintenance and repair of the bicycle, and get tips on how to select bike accessory and proper clothing at the the club’s headquarters. New members do not need to spend a fortune to get started.

Blissett Cycling Club also offers new challenges for the experience rider with focus on a very active ride schedule.  This includes weekend rides throughout the year with distance options to appeal to all skill and fitness levels and routed along quiet back roads away from heavy traffic.
